Camp Details
This camp is designed to give the high school baseball player the knowledge, instruction, and exposure necessary to get him to the next level. Advanced Instruction will be given throughout the two days on the necessary skills required to play at the college level. Each player will receive instruction from college coaches who will work with them to correct flaws and improve fundamentals defensively, offensively, and on the mound. Players will also participate in controlled scrimmages on the second day with coaches present to evaluate players.
Parents and players will also have the opportunity to learn the requirements both athletically and academically to play college baseball in a Q&A setting covering the following topics:
· What it takes to be a college athlete (Both Athletically and Academically)
· Academic requirements
· What coaches look for
· Parents will have a Q&A with coaches
Opportunity to meet, learn, and be evaluated by college baseball coaches. Several Colleges and Universities will be present to Scout/Instruct/Evaluate
Camp Format
· Timed 60-Yard Dash
· Batting Practice on the Field
· Position Players will field and throw from their positions
· Positional defensive instruction/drills
· Offensive instruction/drills
· Pitching instruction/drills
· Live Games
Pitching
Pitchers will be put through college style workouts that emphasize mechanics and velocity. They will also be taught an in-depth pitcher specific strength and conditioning program designed to improve all facets of pitching.
Defense
Infielders, outfielders, and catchers will be taken through rigorous instruction that focuses on quality reps to improve the fundamentals of fielding. Each player will be broken down defensively and built back up with the proper technique and fundamentals.
Hitting
Each hitter will receive instruction from college coaches to improve their swing mechanics and approach at the plate. Hitters will learn the philosophy that college coaches teach their current players.
